Final one in the series. Again, reusing a couple of boards saved from the loft. Not entirely happy with the way that resizing has introduced a pattern into the grain on the floor - you'll have to take my word for it that there's no such problem on the full-size image.

Thanks for your comments on the previous uploads - again, it would be useful to know how you feel this one compares with Muddy Boots, Football Boots and Old Trainers.

Same as previous uploads - converted to B&W using channel mixer and applied a platinum tone.

Tripod, manual focus, mirror lockup, 2 sec at f/11.

like the tones and the detail, especially the grain in the wood. Timeless feel to these images John - have enjoyed them

Not sure why John but the shots of the boots on the floor seem to work better than the ones hanging from the door. It may be the type of footwear - the trainers/footy boots perhaps don't have a traditional/old fashioned look about them that matches the background/treatment. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the comment, Iain. It's always useful to have other people's insights, especially when they explain why something works (or doesn't).

Just had a look at all of the others and this is my favourite.

I love the texture of the old wooden background, which echoes the wear of the old boots. Lovely detail and tones.
