I am not used to having too much colour when I visit the area of Sligachan on the Isle of Skye. However the day I took this, the algae in the lochan was vivid. Sunshine, snow, blue sky and green algae.. in January!

Great reflection and colour in the water. The sky(e) content is exciting too and it's great to see a different PoV and comp for this iconic lump!

The gorgeous blue skies and green algae certainly seem out of place in January but at the same time "who can possible argue about the beauty and magnificence of such a scene?"
