After arriving in Nepal on Sun the 5th spent a few days visiting a few old friends & catching up on the new sights of Kathmandu also getting over a bought of mild food poisoning as did my friend.
On the 15th we went to Bardia National Park to try and full fill one of my life long ambitions & that was to see wild Tiger.
On the 16th we started the day by taking a Elephant ride through the Jungle that lasted for approx 1 hour...we then had a 2 hour walk to our first viewing point...we sat for 3hours waiting but no luck..twice we moved & still no luck all this was taking place in temps of around 35 degs(yes bl--dy hot).
By 1500hrs I had given up on seeing a Tiger...our day was to finish with a 17 k ride back our camp and calling in on 1 last view point on the way.
We got to the last place.. we crept into position and BINGO, this huge male Tiger was just getting out of the water from having a swim and cooling down.
I can not tell you how I felt when he stopped turned his head and looked straight down my lense.
The pics of the huge bull Elephant I took when waiting at one of the other view points.
