Family of the forest gnomes

Family of the forest gnomesHi Valery there are some lovely mushrooms here much better than the ones I capture. It would be nice if you could get in a bit closer and possibly remove some of the obsticals in the way of your lens.SmileSmileSmile

FOR CRITIQUE ONLY

FOR CRITIQUE ONLYHi Tish I looked at all the comments on this image earlier and wasn't to sure what to say apart from there is some great advice there. I feel that one of the problems here is that this is a social networking site and as such members get to know ear other as friends and a lot of the time we don't want to upset each other. Perhaps if in a good way we were more objective about what we are looking at it would help us all to grow and not stagnate. I think you were very brave Tish putting this image up for critic
but really the fault should be shared with the rest of us for not helping each other more.
Regards John.

Another Boat

Another BoatA nice image with a very good POV. And good foreground interest.Smile I think if it were my image I may clone out the white patches on the ground as I don't feel they enhance the image but rather cause a distraction from another wise good image.Smile

Shoo Fly

Shoo FlyHi yes I suppose it's all in the detail but the fly doesn't look a distraction to me nevertheless I will upload again with the fly removed. All of these ajustments are quite simple to make with modern software. If you want any advice on that you just have to ask.
Regards John.

Shoo Fly

Shoo FlyI think this is a lovely shot plenty detail nice shadow of the horses head but for me I found the fencing a little of a distraction especially the third rail up as it hits the edge of the head. Anyway I have done a quick mod and I hope you like it.

Red

RedThis is a lovely sharp beautiful flower with great colour Realy like it. I think the flower must have been shot in harsh light. Because there is some burn out on the bottom three petals. Probably half a stp less light could have saved the colour or the use of bracketing to get the full colour range.SmileSmileSmile

Iron Mosque Putrajaya

Iron Mosque PutrajayaThis is a cracking image. The main problem you have is the white lights on the building are burnt out.
The easiest way to overcome this would be to bracket your exposure and make one exposure at least two stops less then when the images are blended together you can get both parts of your image at the correct setting. It's always trile and era with night time images because the histogram will give a fauls reading even on your great camera.
Regards John.
