Here's a Mute Swan which I took while on a meet with a great photographer called Necip Perver.

I'm going to try and get out with my new Sigma 300mm f/2.8 now Grin

This is an incredible inflight capture Joe. Wonderful detail, light and exposure just right. I loe the effect of the darker background with the light shining through the flight feathers. Good luck with your new lens - bet you can't wait to get out there!

I've only ever got one decent in-flight shot of a heron... they are massive but still really hard to photograph when flying!
