Could this be the best place to sit and take in the view? The benchmark bench as it were. ![]()
Probably all depends if you like mountains I suppose.
Thanks for looking.

Beer cans and fag packets included for the keen sighted.
It's uploaded a bit dark in tones but large may rectify it a wee bit.
John
As with oh so much of your work John, this one leaps out from the thumbnail in the first instance and then begs to be seen large. So much to look at here, it's a 'proper' landscape. I for one could sit on that bench with a pack of Marlboro's and be happy for a very long time, or until the fags ran out anyway
Shot of the day for me, it really is.
Quote: Wow - one of the best landscapes I have ever seen.
Thanks Lynne but it ain't anywhere near as good as actually being there. ![]()

The irony is Simon, I never actually sat on that bench for the 45 minutes or so I was there, too busy poncing around with a camera stuck to my eye.

Quote: Fantastic landscape and a lovely place to spend the afternoon...unfortunately can't recognize the place as not that familiar with scotland.
Akif
Just head North to Fort William Akif and I guarantee you'll recognise the place.

Magnificent image. Absolutely beautifully composed.
Well John ...everyone else has more or less summed up my thoughts..absolutely stunning.... very dramatic, thought provoking and yet a very peaceful shot. Heading up that way in October for a holiday and can't wait to try and capture some images like this. a real cracker...well done.
John.
Cracking image of the other side of the Buachaille John. Is this just off the west highland way.

Cheers Paul, I personally prefer this view of Stob Dearg, the other side is the one that grabs your attention as you drive over the moor and has the classic waterfall for photographic framing but as a view of a mountain I have always prefered this side.
It's taken just off the main road at the bend where the wee track down to Lagangarbh cottage starts and about 100 yards to the left of yesterday's shot, could actually be on the West Highland Way but don't have my map at hand.
John
Quote: Amazingly 3 dimensional. I particularly like the lighting and the sky.
Nigel
Thanks Nigel, glad you mentioned that as the new processing technique I'm working on seems to give this effect, I noticed in my previous upload as well. ![]()
John
What a setting, I'm sure the people that plan the location of these seats are photographers or painters. Really nice work.
