There are many great climbing routes up Stob Dearg, Curved Ridge and the Crowberry Ridge being a few.
Serious propositions in winter and I've just been content with the more touristy route up via the col to the summit.

I might have a look at this shot again at the weekend if there is decent snowfall and weather conditions.

Smile

This is an ace image John. The sky has a fair bit going on and I actually like the colour on the fg. The ultimate for me is the composition along with a drizzle of snow on the peaks. Very Lord Of The Rings.

Cheers all,
Adam, I'm not entirely satisfied with it as the conditions didn't pan out as I had visualised in my mind but nevertheless fairly happy and will aim to make a return to get it nailed.

I look forward to seeing the next shot from here, because I seriously think this is one of the best shots Ive ever seen on Epz. I cant stop gazing at it!

Cheers Adam and glad you like it, its funny how one can be a little disappointed though, especially if one has had a particular image in mind but conditions have been different, expectations not matching reality I guess...Wink
I think I prefer my previous upload from here as well...Smile

I know that feeling John. I'm also planning a return visit to this summit but I think I'm going to wait for a decent dump of snow in late Feb early March when the sun rises further East.

Yep, I know the limitations at this time Craig and I was lucky for a brief hint of light but Feb/March will be ideal.

Cheers Ron but I doubt I'll enter this one as it niggles me I didn't get the conditions I had pre-visualised for this shot, thanks all though for the comments and HC Pete, that is definately appreciated.

For me John this viewpoint puts the mountain in context of its surroundings more than the usual angles. I didnt realise that Lagangarbh was so close, excellent ,
