A very similar composition as my first Guardians image but it was always a toss up which one I prefered. I like the sky better in this one but maybe the light is better in the first one??

A magnificent mountain landscape with great lighting and colour. Most views around Glencoe are taken from much lower levels, but you have pushed hard to get this high up, and given us a totally different perspective of the area. Superb work, and very much appreciated, John.

What a wonderful scene - great light and tonal quality - well taken indeed

That really is an image to knock socks off! I think the term 'Wow' is often over used, but this is a real jaw dropper.
I have to say that in an area of the country that is well covered and has produced some amazing photography, your work John must rate amongst some of the best.

Loved the original and love this too. I like the composition in this as it has a bit more depth but I actually prefer the sky in the previous version as it seems to add a bit more drama. Both truly stunning and I don't think I could pick between them either. Gets my award ![]()

PS. Bet it's looking magnificent up there at the moment with all this snow about ![]()
Thank you all, appreciated.
Den, I'm going back up at the weekend so may have a look at this again in the snow but I still have a few more vantage points I want to investigate.

Another stunning image from here John, must get up there one day.
Darren.
One of the best veiwpoints in the West Highlands captured with wonderful light.
Well done
Roger
Thanks for the award Ian, much appreciated and thanks all.

Superb image John. Very well composed with wonderful light and clarity.

From the wonderful sky to the great detailed and colourfyl fg, an image packed with delight for the viewer. The A82 curves it's way urgently through the glen while The Coupall River meanders slowy around the Buchle and round into Glen Etive.
You've really captured the mood of the mountains here at the bend in Rannoch Moor.
