I photographed this wee pine last year but it always niggled me that I didn't do it proper justice in composition or light so I had another go recently.
I had visualised this shot for a year and was lucky I only had to wait 20 minutes for the briefest splash of light.

A classic landscape shot John! Fabulous composition and colour... really like the way the left hand branches of the tree lead you down to the water and beyond. Excellent shot and well worth the wait!

If this is the tree I think it is, I'm due back for another go myself. The lihjt was far too bright the day I was there. You have done it proud my friend. Reeks of the Highlands, as they say.

As Dougie says this reeks of the Highlands. Very good processing and a great composition with the tree almost filling the frame but still showing the wild landscape in the bg.
