The 'Red peak', Stob Dearg catching the early morning light. I love the colours of Scottish winters and I reckon the light and reflection compliment the foreground foliage.
This was taken about an hour and half after sunrise but is the first of the light on the peak as the Sun has to climb above other 3000ft mountains first.
Please don't compare the two versions but V2 is the bigger picture only to show you the wee pool of water this series was taken from. V2 is only a reference shot..
Thanks for looking.
fantastic,large is a must
Wonderful shot, John. V1 has the edge with a superb reflection.
Stunning, beautiful winter colours
Graham, V2 is purely to pinpoint the wee pool of water, it's not meant as a shot in it's own right..
I've got a shot of Sron na Creise as well from this wee pool which I think is it's best viewpoint and will upload soon.
#1 is my choice although, both are a bit special.
Perfect composition, the water from the left draws my eye right through to the top of the mountain then down to its reflection. Beautiful light, wonderful colours and superb detail - again
Excellent shot John, you must have overshot Keswick
Just by 200 miles Darren, mind there was some excellent light dotted around I noticed when I was out running this morning and was itching to get out but I'm making an effort with the training this year as there are a few races i won't to do well in coming up.
Excellent landscape shots.
Both good, but it's V1 for me.
Love the composition.
Love this place, and you'vr done it justice in spades, John! Super reflection
Yep v1 for me, stunning shot...
