A black and white image of Buachaille Etive Mor from the foot of Creag Dhubh.

V2 is the original out of the camera.

I like both of these two but with the mono there is no doubt about the colour casts...

Mono works beautifully John. Personally, I still prefer the colour version as it feels so fresh and cold.

Like colour V2 for the snow against the blue sky. Love this area. Paul

Having now seen the original John, I think the version straight from the camera is best, followed very closely by the b+w version.

Beautiful tones and textures in this. It looks a touch dark, though — maybe tweak the curves a bit to lighten the snow?

Your composition is excellent and I can't decide whether I like the mono or original version better.

Hi John,

I'm not normally a big fan of mono but the B&W version of this one really looks more powerful to my eye. Somehow it really gives the mountain more emphasis.

Cheers!

Beautiful but I prefer the colour version if I'm honest, nothing wrong with it, I'm just more of a fan of colour on this type of image that's all Smile

The white balance on V2 also looks perfect and is much better than either of yesterdays versions (worth uploading again in it's own right perhaps?) Smile

Top work as always

Both excellent images John and I agree with Dennis' comment on the white balance in V2. However, I'm a big fan of black and white landscapes and V1 is faultless, lovely range of tones which really emphasis the mountains.

Regards

I liked the mono until I saw the colour John, now I can't make up my mind. A great shot!
