A black and white image of Buachaille Etive Mor from the foot of Creag Dhubh.
V2 is the original out of the camera.
I like both of these two but with the mono there is no doubt about the colour casts...
I can not make a choice. Both superb!
What a wonderful set of images, all very beautiful indeed
.thanks for sharing.
cracking comp, think the mono edges it for me.lesley
Mono works beautifully John. Personally, I still prefer the colour version as it feels so fresh and cold.
that excellent mono for me
Great image John - like both versions
Very nice photo. I think the mono image has the edge
Like colour V2 for the snow against the blue sky. Love this area. Paul
Having now seen the original John, I think the version straight from the camera is best, followed very closely by the b+w version.
Beautiful tones and textures in this. It looks a touch dark, though — maybe tweak the curves a bit to lighten the snow?
Mono for me.
Your composition is excellent and I can't decide whether I like the mono or original version better.
Got to do mono John ! Ron.
That scene looks good with a mono.
I'm not normally a big fan of mono but the B&W version of this one really looks more powerful to my eye. Somehow it really gives the mountain more emphasis.
Beautiful but I prefer the colour version if I'm honest, nothing wrong with it, I'm just more of a fan of colour on this type of image that's all
The white balance on V2 also looks perfect and is much better than either of yesterdays versions (worth uploading again in it's own right perhaps?)
Top work as always
Looks good John, really like the composition.
Both excellent images John and I agree with Dennis' comment on the white balance in V2. However, I'm a big fan of black and white landscapes and V1 is faultless, lovely range of tones which really emphasis the mountains.
I liked the mono until I saw the colour John, now I can't make up my mind. A great shot!
The mono just work. Great to see this wonderfull mountain in B&W
Thanks for the HC Pete, a very nice surprise indeed.
Love the LARGE feel to this image, B+W for me.
Thanks for the award Chris, cheers,
Mono version is proper good. Great conv
Mono for me too, John. The depth, detail and dimensions are stupendous. Many congrats on the HC.
Cheers Ian, I'm gonna treat myself to a print of this one and adorn it on't wall.
Its a draw, both good ones John
