Another iconic location, beautifully captured in this early day shot: you must have been up in the dark to get as high up as this for that lighting, Alun.

Thanks all.
Ronnie- that's right in the rain and in the dark. The light witnessed here lasted for about 30 secs before the clouds rolled in obscuring the dawn and blanketing the slopes.

I've been up here s many times, Alun, I cannot recall it ever looking this warm. I know the light could be kidding us on and the temperature could be pretty low. Looks warm and that's what counts here.

Wow. Thanks all and to Ade for the GEA. This was my first visit to the Isle of Skye and it was tough on man and car. It rained incessantly and I believe that I may have had some 20 minutes only during the week when it was possible to take pics. However during those twenty minutes I took four of my favourite images. The place is a landscape tog's dream and I can't wait to get back there some day.

Now I'm blushing ! Great start to the weekend. What made this so hard to process was the fact that the blues and orange co-exist within the frame and the battle between the cool of the departing night and warmth of the dawning day is fought out within the image creating the warm /cool feel. Shortly after it was all grey Smile

Crikey. It's developing into a cracking 'be nice to Alun' evening. Even the wife said 'I know that lens repair of the 16-35F2.8L is £450 but you've worked so hard recently, you deserve it' What's going on? I think I may be asleep Grin

Mike - groan. Like what you did there thoughGrin
Ant - cheers m8. Weather's not Ogmore or Nash friendly today. I got up early too Sad
Phil - your own images are a source of inspiration.
Yung - been missing your regular posts but when they come they really motivate me by showing what might one day be achievable.
Chris and JohnnyBoy - my thanks.
Niknut, Linda, Dave, Christina, Dougie, Geoff, Cole, CathyI. Ed, Richard and Ronnie - your regular feedback and friendliness never ceases to amaze me particularly considering my sporadic responses to your own hugely impressive work. Big thanks to you all - nearly forgot thanks A_Stridsburg also.

Absolutely awesome mate. Looks like you capitalised on the conditions here, not sure I've this location bathed in quite as much warm light. I visited this placed twice on the Skye Meet, but not so much as a sausage! Wink

30 seconds of the best light you could hope for...I didnt even see that!

I am jealous, saying that I would not have been able to take something as good as this if I did get the light...superb !!
