A shot from many moons ago and uploaded as a tight crop....thought i would try this version.........
Superb image Chris
Very nice indeed. Love that orange light reflecting off the wall.
Certainly well worth a try, tis a beauty Chris!
Glorious light and colours.
No moon here Chris LOL, do like it though
Beautiful image Chris - wonderful light captured
Love it but (remember I am no expert in these things) I would cut the left of the pic out by the little boat maybe? Oops I just saw your crop comment lol see great minds think alike. Can I set as my desktop please?
Btw did you tweek the water in the forground? If so how?
a view i havent seen before, beautifully done.lesley
ps wonder how it would look with a crop out of curiosity but too lazy to check it out in PS.lesley
Stunning shot, just beautiful!
Stunning Chris, the full frame must stay for me.
Bloody hell, thats good.
Love the smooth water, stunning sky, lovely set of tones. The boat on the right is composed brilliantly.
Wish i lived by the sea!!
Just delightful. Clever camera position, great composition, superb colour.
Beautiful image with superb colours and lighting
A beautiful capture.
beautiful image like the crop a lot
Will pm you Dean about the 'water ' ...
Love the light and colours Chris -good comp with the boat and reflection nice milky sea too.
The colours are gorgeous. That light/colour on the wall is beautiful
One of the finest shots I have ever seen - this is absolutely outstanding!! Don't crop anything from this - everything is just right!!
'tis a bit of a stunner
A real beauty mate.
V1 for me, really fabulous. Ann
A sublime image.
Bloody marvelous (especially V1) straight to my shortlist
Fantastic image, one to hang on the wall.
Beautiful shot - V1 for me, fav'd and shortlisted. Great work.
Two beautiful images, perfect
Thanks very much...
A name check i feel is needed here...Mr H from Northscape..his help on the day was invaluable.
brilliant picture chris, lovely soft colours and back ground with the reflictions. no uboats though.
Prefer the first Chris
stunning image just wish it was mine.
Havn't seen one since our last meet Connor
Thanks very much Bob for your UA...appreciate it.
Well, that's a stunner and haven't seen that perspective of the Farne before. Well done!
v1 for me - the big picture is just wonderful.
Wonderful light and colour. It glows.
Agree with Pete - it's great to see a new perspective. I love the colour and clarity to V1, but I do think that the left side needs cropping a little. Horizontally the crop in V2 is nearly ideal (perhaps a tad too much? Perhaps a cm less??), but it looks cropped from the bottom and top a too, and I think this is a loss overall. However the greatest loss is the colour.
Still I'm green with envy!
Wonderfully restful, Chris. A " Hamlet " moment. Ron.
Just superb, I love both of these Chris and would happily award either if I had an extra UA
Two gorgeous images Chris. Wonderful light......Sandy
opps ive just clicked on this and its put it in room 101 what ever that means lol
Superb pictures - especially like V1 - wonderful composition and colours.
Wow, love it, top shot
v1 is ace.
I like both versions because of the beautiful light, but I wonder if a crop somewhere in between might be even better... I feel V1 is perhaps a bit "heavy" on the right-hand side, but I like the blues very much and V2 excludes them...
Thanks for your inputs and will experiment with the ideas.
Thanks Kerry for your UA....really appreciate it.
And thanks Pete for the HC...
Lovely, V1 for me
Fantastic - colour,compo - everything. Chaz.
Much photographed place but never seen composition like this.
Excellent and a half!!!!
Thanks very much..
Great Photographs Chris, we have some wonderfull places up here, and the Island is just one of them.
Really excellent. Love both versions. Paul
Spot-on that Chris,
Well deserved awards Chris
Thanks John for your UA...very much appreciated.
love it to bits...............
Going to go against the grain on this one Chris, but I personally think you've revealed too much detail in what should be shadow and it appears visually too bright in that area for me. The prow of the boat in particular leaps out. V2 is better for me. Great comp though!!!
Flash gun was a bit bright Paul
Know what you mean tho' ....have modified the image similar to v2..looks better
Great shot well done
two awesome images x x x
