Yes, it is THAT tree!!

Well, I've not been up here for 3 years, so was good to see the old girl again, and looking rather handsome in some tasty light to boot.

From last Sunday morning's little jaunt up to Malham. Looking back, I can see how blessed I was with the light and the sky, and would probably say it was the best conditions I have expereinced for some time!

Nice light on the pavement and I like the splash of sunlight behind the tree.

I think this must be one of the most attractive shots that I've seen of that tree and its limestone pavement approach. The composition is spot on, and the lighting and detail and depth are all marvellous. Really excellent work.
Ronnie.

Great shot Marti, really well executed, love it.

Now this I don't get at all. You have taken a shot of one of the most iconic locations on EPZ, caught it in probably the most dramatic of light of any of those shots uploaded here and yet it's still only on 24 votes ... you've been robbed mate!!! Sad

Oh my!! What a great landscape shot. Now you've done me, as I had shortlisted another of your shots for my prestigious award and thought that was good, but this is compositionally perfect with magnificent light to boot.

Easy choice in the end. It was the stunning comp and great light. The mono was excellent as well, and would have earned it had it not been for this colour version.
