This particular engine was installed in an emergency pit gear machine, used I suppose for rescue operations at local pits. I liked the pattern and texture.

Great looking old engine. Lovely photo. Old gas engines, which at some point in the near future will be relics, are fascinating.

I like the pattern and textures as well John. Coming from a mining community I hope it wasn't used too much.
