BELL TOWER by JOKEN

BELL TOWER

iInternet search has revealed that - the church is situated at Brookland, in the Romney Marsh area of Kent. It was built c1260 and is famous for it's octagonal bell tower. The wooden structure was built separate from the stone church because it was felt that the marsh ground could not take the weight of both church and tower.
