I've never had any love for these scavengers, ever since one stole a quarter of my tuna sandwich whilst having lunch outside the 'Cod & Lobster' pub in Staithes 2 or 3 years back! Sad A very fine capture here, though, Ken Smile

the blur in the foreground is a little distracting from the photo which would have been a great shot of a lovely reflection. Pity also that you couldn't get a shot with it's head turned just a touch more towards you for that all important eye-contact. Great opportunistic shot just like the bird itself though.

Oh so difficult white - plumage detail lost on the breast. Looks like this was one of the summer days when the sun was shining on us.
