Yes, it definitely appears to be a type of Bottlebrush flower. I have some growing wild on my farm, but they are not as pretty as those sold in shops. I found the following by doing a Google search: Bottlebrushes are members of the genus Callistemon and belong to the family Myrtaceae. Most Bottlebrushes occur in the east and south-east of Australia
