These two monuments to almost yesterday were seen in Middleton Scriven, a small village near Bridgnorth. It will part of a small portfolio I am putting together for the photographic competition the village is holding depicting life in the village.

Less and less of them around, Ken, and with this image, fine as it is, I wonder how a colour pop version might look.
All best luck in the competition.
Ronnie.

Love it! The red and green are so perfectly vibrant. I would suggest burning the upper corners a bit to darken them. The light upper right especially draws the eye, since the rest of the image is quite dark. Good luck with the portfolio.

..and snail mail too!

I've tried to capture an image of this iconic subject myself - there was a great location with a box in a lay by at Thetford that I used to ride past for years - but the lighting or vegetation was never quite right, or when it was I didn't have the camera / tripod or couldn't take the time to stop. A few years later it went - I missed my chance - so well done for getting a shot of a (couple of) disappearing icon(s).

Two fine examples of these monuments, Ken - think both will disappear completely before too long Sad
