Old growth--and the ferns
Think of the indians walking these trails


probably not much rain reaches the floor
but we have had enough so that we are watching the creek very carefully!

I remember we had a lot of hemlock trees where we lived in British Columbia - but the general feel of this reminds me of Bergen - and especially the area where we had our farm. The trees seemed like they grew overnight. That's one thing about living in an area that gets a lot of rain - truly a blessing when you know how bad drought can be.
