Quote: careful composition with just a hint of reflections. like it.
v2: the rule of thirds explained ![]()
I did compose these very carefully, Francesco, for the proportions within the individual frames - and to include shall we say variations on the rule of thirds...

Windows
Across the headlands
The forest masses
Under gray skies
And mist
Into a solid wall
Of muted gray
Through which cars
Glide skirting noiselessly
The rocky edge.
Through a window
I watch, windows are
For watching -
Square pieces of life
Ever changing.

Quote: Do we need to see the oil can or is the handle sufficient. I think it is.
I think the oil can might warrant a return visit, Danny.
Thanks everyone.

Clever use of the framing but v1 does look stronger for having part of the outer frame.

A fine shot, Moira - like both versions, and after much toggling between the two, can't decide which I prefer! ![]()

Nicely observed Moira, great comp' in V1 and self portrait in V2.

The window framed by a partial frame, the window within a window, smaller windows within the window that is within the main window, and the view beyond. Detail galore in what at first glance is a mere window with part of its frame missing.
Clever.

The very clever composition of V1 for me Moira.

I think this is the nearest to my thoughts on this fine photo, regards Leon, a perfect balancing act.![]()

I like your reflection in v2, it looks like you seized this window of opportunity with both hands
