Thanks a lot for your kind comments and votes regarding the valentine's dragonflies.

here is my first ever kingfisher, a white collared one.
All others were most uncooperative, see other versions. They sit on wires.. in the dark or start splashing... PLEASE don't consider the other versions to be serious contributions, they are there for a laugh.

V.1 is superb, Annette, and I also like V.4, a very well timed capture. My only niggle with V.1 is that I would have removed the stray branch in the top left hand corner. Carol

Like that over the shoulder look of enquiry in V1! Would agree removing that branch top LH corner would be even better. V2 made me laugh out loud, the rascal, hiding like that! V4 has really delicate tones and is very pleasing too. I'm very jealous as I have never seen even 1 Kingfisher, never mind taken photos of them!
