The title was chosen because it is our 18th wedding anniversary and almost a year since we visited one of the most romantic places in Europe - Venice - for Carnevale. Night time and romance seem to fit together well (especially now as our wrinkles don't show so much at night) so I have chosen a selection of night shots taken in that wonderful city. All were hand held and only one - V9 - had the benefit of the LED light that I purchased there (I forgot my flash).
Anyway, may I take this Valentine's day to wish you and yours a year of love, romance, peace and happiness, and I hope that you enjoy at least some of the shots included in this selection.

Well, first of all, Happy Anniversary, Lynne! And what a super collection of images from our trip - doesn't seem twelve months ago, does it? I can remember you with that LED unit...it was like a car headlight it was that bright! Shame about that chap in the red coat in V11 spoiling the shot, though...
