The other Sunday, I went over to western Switzerland to watch a certain French cycle-race in which British riders are currently doing rather well. Whilst I was whiling away the time before the race arrived, I spotted this little scene. Nothing to do with the race; it just looked nice.

Intriguing - the way the curves and planes overlap.

Excellent composition Julian and the colour contrast between the cool and warm light is very striking.

Blowing hot and cold again Mr B! I think that the dark edge along the "cold" arch is a wonderul detail and really serves to delineate it from the warm toned wall behind. Very nice indeed. Well worth ignoring those cyclists as they bob past you...Rgds., Adam
