Whilst exploring a quiet corner of rural France, I happened on this intriguing house that was looking somewhat the worse for wear - and seemed to be deserted. So I took some photos.... ![]()

I love the texture of peeling paint on an old house - I actually have a lot of these on my hard drive but never get around to processing everything. The one house I used to photograph was torn down last year. I talked to a local farmer in the area and he told me that when the house came down they found a nest of rattle snakes underneath the floor - I used to walk there with bare feet in sandals - shudder.
LOL - your image immediately transported me there.............btw there's an eye in that knot in the wood upper left.
