A bleak scene, Ed, excellent composition, it's amazing how the trees stand up to the wind. Carol

On this capture the tree works in the central position, not sure if it is the lay of the land but looks like the bench needs leveling Ed.

It's rather hilly there is nowhere perfectly flat up there, I should know I've played on the golf course there enough time and the greens are a nightmare. It's more like an assault course than a golf course with all the hazards you face like cattle, sheep and rough patches including numerous gorse bushess!

Love the title -Windswept Tree. Describers the subject so well.

I'm a fan of these lone tree's shaped by the wind sometomes found on hill tops and out on the moors - and this one very much so with the ice and snow adding that bit extra.

The empty seats all add to the feeling of winter captured here.

Smashing.

Dave.

The image is a testament to the prevailing wind, Ed: looks very lonely there all on it's own, the others presumably having taken shelter at lower levelsWink.
