This wedding shoot is taking place in front of the Temple of Heaven, Beijing, China. It is customary for the bride and groom to dress in their wedding finery and have their photos taken at a 'beauty spot'. This occurs 2 or 3 months before the actual wedding ceremony. A bit like a pre - wedding shoot that some couples have here in the U.K. I sidled up to them and began taking some images of my own - and they were more than happy to let me do so! They have props in their hands - they are theatrical masks.
