Managed to get quite close to this wren without him noticing me - he settled just near the greenhouse. Not sure what is going on with its right foot...

Superb feather detail, hope the little thing wasn't in trouble it's rare that one can get this close. Excellent photography though.

Perhaps it had flown into the glass?? we have a few fly into ours and sit a while in a daze like this.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I'm wondering if he maybe had flown into a window, becuase he did let me get closer than usual. He was definitely OK after a while, though, because I watched him fly off into the woods.
