It could be that the image is cropped too much and has lost some of the impact. It looks very big on my screen (it would though its a TV screen!!). Play around with shadows and highlights and dodge and burn tools. Brighten the eyes slightly. Super shot - Jude.

Hi - beautifully composed image but, as you say, a little soft around the edges of the head and a little out of focus around the eyes - however still a great image - Jude.
