Good Evening
Hope you are all OK and in the swing of another week, I cannot believe that July is upon us, although the weather makes me feel we are in February
I hope not too many of you have been affected by the freakish weather conditions that have been happening in the last week and if you have, my sincere sympathies are with you.
My picture tonight is in a way out of my comfort zone, I love taking pictures of buildings, but have never uploaded a black and white picture before. This was taken at the beginning of June at Rochester Cathedral, and the weather was sunny, but blowing an absolute gale and the clouds were swirling around the spire of the Cathedral, which really caught my eye. Hope you like it ![]()
Many thanks for your votes and comments on my last upload Rock Rose, really, really appreciated ![]()

You certainly made the right choice with the monochrome conversion, Julie. The sky is full of drama, the cloud swirls around and seems almost to spiral upwards on the left, while the intermittent strong light makes the cathedral tower stand out. A very intense image. Black and white has a lot to commend it if you want to create atmosphere - this has atmosphere in spades!
Regards
Bill
Well Julie this really is the sum up of our summer..... LOL it looks so spooky and the mono treatment makes this image pop, I love how the building is looking dark and threatening in the wonderful storm filled sky. You have an eye for mono and what makes one work
