This is Gravir which is the village before Lemreway. Its a very long village running along the left and right hand side of the bay.
As you can see the weather was very grey and dull. I had a go at an HDR image to try make the best of the bad day.
Thanks for looking hope you like it
It does look better large if you have time.

This is a good viewpoint and the mood is typical of the area. Though I hate to do it myself, I would try clone out the posts and wires.
Really like this Julie, subtle HDR effect really works and brings out some nice texture. You really get a feeling of the weather, nicely done
Thanks for the mail info on HDR etc
I am a sucker for these scenes "any otters"
Thanks very much for the nice comments
Melanie I did clone some out but got fed up
No problem Angie anytime and sorry but never seen an Otter in 30 years of going to Lewis.
Have been told I dont look hard enough....
Very nicely composed and good Hdr work but maybe a darker sky would add more punch.
ps Plenty of otters in Cromore specially at the wee bridge between the sea and loch.
love the depth and the way the colour fades into the distance.
- great detail in the foreground too
Julie, Roy showed me howto use the Patch tool at Rowardennan and now I don't use the clone tool at all on skies! You can find it with the clone tool option.....just draw a patch of sky nearby and select it,then move it over the bit you want to clone and it does its magic! Blens in much better than cloning and looks more natural. Right click and select 'deselect' to remove the patch once your done.
Thaks Rod, went over the other side of the village this holiday where my brother in law was putting fence up. Just after we left an Otter came out of the Loch just my look eh!!!
Thanks Sandra Angie there are that many things on photoshop you forget there there lol....thanks for the reminder I will have a go..
Like this one Julie. Can almost feel the drizzle!
PS> Have you been on TMP lately?
Very typical of the east coast isn't it? Like others, the perspective effect of the "fjord" disappearing into the distance works well Julie. Good stuff.
