Another shot taken whilst on my Travels in Namibia this year.
This was taken from the Balcony at the Lodge where we were staying,at 5.30am, and i tried using the trees as a sort of frame for the beautiful sunrise.
The whole place just seemed to be filled with the sound of the Birds Dawn Chorus.
A wonderful place.
Many thanks for all your comments and views, apologies for the long silences, but i have a few days to get back online now after a long busy few weeks.
so i'll get back to you all a.s.a.p :o)

Gwyn,,,you'll have to tread very carefully with this one mind...those stunning looks will grab your attention for sure...but then you'll have a date,...usually in remote places with plenty of others sobbing over their missed chance(you wo'nt be the only one you know),...then for some unknown reason, she wo'nt turn up,leaving you so cold with frustration, you'll have tears streaming down your face. But then like many others ...you'll go back for more and more.
I'm sure you'll be arranging a date soon then? :oD
Thanks Pete,appreciate your lovely comments
Thanks Tony,it's lovely of you to say and i thank you for your comment.
Thanks Chris, great to have your valued comment.
Thanks Mari..i've been framing alot of work up recently and some have asked for certain shots to be in black mount and frame,it surprised me how much it seemed to make some photos stand out more,so i opted it for this one due to the colours.
Thanks Barbara,appreciate your comment
thanks everyone

where have you been hiding this gem Julie?
like how you've used the trees to capture the sunrise, its created a nice sharp silhouette of the trees and also given you that nice warm orange glow. As you know sunsets are one of my favourite subjects so I particularly like this Sunrise shot of yours.
Spot on, well seen and captured.
Ian
Great silhoutte and I love the way you've placed the rising sun between the two trunks.
Chris.
Beautiful gnarled silhouetted tree Julie complimented by the warm low sun tones. Good exposure.
Doug.
Aha! You've been holding out on us! Godo story and a warm and uplifting image. Good profile pic too by the way. A good shot of you 'in habitat!'
Patrick
I like this one very much Julie, the colour graduation is superb, you should sell lots of prints of this one, no problem, would look great as a poster or large print on a wall, and the sun peeping out between the 2 trees adds that touch of class.
Great work as always.
Geoff.
urmmm - trying to find a superlative that hasn't yet been used . . . Ah! Got it! 'Brilliant'. Phew - I hate to be lost for words
Really like this. Bruce.

Gorgeous, love the organic shapes of the branches. You've timed it perfectly with the sunburst at the bottom. Beautiful.

great composition - i really like the way the gradient of the sunrise sky colours work down the image to the beautifully framed sun.
