Having some sunshine I felt I would take a few shots of my orchid, mainly so that I would be able to capture the moment and paint it later.

I like the way you have captured this. The bottom petal looks so different to the rest and really helps to make the shot.

Great close up detail capture, love the colours. Do you Know what it is called, I do love that colour. My tiny orchid almost the same colour cost me a 1 last year. great flowers last year, now have two flowers so far this year. Beautiful plant

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your vote and comments. I also like the colour of the orchid. The orchid is a small flower variety...not that you would think that from the close up and is a phalaenopsis - the name means resembling a moth.
Yes they are beautiful plants and very particular about where they like to "live".
