Purists might be disappointed that Britain's best-known Wall is incomplete in places, as here by the trig point at its highest point at Winshields Crags. That so much remains, given the inhospitable conditions that it has endured over the centuries, is a true tribute to its builders.
Taken at 9.10am this morning, it was good to get out again with the camera... seems like ages since the last time I went anywhere and got good conditions!
