Hi folks,

Still at the horse & dog show, So as you can see its the mutts turn......Smile

My cats thought this was a great idea, " Dawg Dunking " Well they would.....Grin

This image shows the main difference between cats & dogs, You throw a ball into a very smelly pond, Sure enough a Mutt will jump in and fetch it.....!!!

Try asking any self respecting " Feline " to perform the same trick.....Smile No prizes for guessing the outcome.....Wink

Anyhow I managed to keep both myself & my camera gear dry this time, So methinks I'm getting the hang of it......!!!

Regards
Vince

Perfectly timed. What a gorgeous shot. Dogs love splashing about in water and this is a beautifully composed image.

A fabulous image, Vince. Well timed, & the expression was well caught.

It's what dogs do best, going where you don't want them to. Try getting it into the bath, though...

Thank you one and all, Gotta say these dogs are almost as excited about timed retrieve competitions as their owners.......Smile

Spot on Cathy......Grin Tiz precisely .....Grin

What a brave and diligent little dog too, Lost count of how many seperate goes it had, This was its first go, After that it started looking real soggy before the off...Sad

Apoligies for the crazy title.....Smile But nothing else quite fitted......Grin

Cheers all.....Vince...Wink

EDIT: Just to add a slight tech note, For this particular outing I restriced myself to single shots only, ie: No high speed burst frames, The idea was to go back to grass roots by pre-focussing or panning as required, Then hit the shutter at a chosen point.....!!!

Now I'm not going to blow my own trumpet here, Because the camera has quite a bit to do with getting the shots, But my hit rate on this day was very high, Somthing like 98%, Or at least 9 out of 10 frames bang on the money......Grin

Had the continuos focussing on though, So that will have helped, Overall I was quite pleased to have at least matched the best the " Machine Gun " technique could offer, Without any wasted shots.....So there is still life in the old trigger finger .....LOL.....Smile

Thank you all again....Smile

Reckon your right Lesley, Oddly enough I had considered taking the crop just above the dark ripple line.....Grin

But then brain & eye decided against it......Sad For some unexplaned reason......Wink
