Still at the horse & dog show, So as you can see its the mutts turn......
My cats thought this was a great idea, " Dawg Dunking " Well they would.....
This image shows the main difference between cats & dogs, You throw a ball into a very smelly pond, Sure enough a Mutt will jump in and fetch it.....!!!
Try asking any self respecting " Feline " to perform the same trick..... No prizes for guessing the outcome.....
Anyhow I managed to keep both myself & my camera gear dry this time, So methinks I'm getting the hang of it......!!!
Fantastic shot! Love the water spash and the dogs face! Very well taken... IB
like this lots,captured brilliantly....
this is perfect timing!! well done
love the look on the dog!!
The cat does it again, well done.
Perfectly timed. What a gorgeous shot. Dogs love splashing about in water and this is a beautifully composed image.
Simply brilliant. A one off shot captured to perfection.
Fabulous timing, brilliant shot.
A fabulous image, Vince. Well timed, & the expression was well caught.
It's what dogs do best, going where you don't want them to. Try getting it into the bath, though...
Excellent action shot, love the title, very apt
Just keeping his head up above the water... superb action shot ...
Excellent well timed capture. The dogs head is very sharp. Beautiful image............Sandy
Thank you one and all, Gotta say these dogs are almost as excited about timed retrieve competitions as their owners.......
Quote: Working Cocker???
Spot on Cathy...... Tiz precisely .....
What a brave and diligent little dog too, Lost count of how many seperate goes it had, This was its first go, After that it started looking real soggy before the off...
Apoligies for the crazy title..... But nothing else quite fitted......
EDIT: Just to add a slight tech note, For this particular outing I restriced myself to single shots only, ie: No high speed burst frames, The idea was to go back to grass roots by pre-focussing or panning as required, Then hit the shutter at a chosen point.....!!!
Now I'm not going to blow my own trumpet here, Because the camera has quite a bit to do with getting the shots, But my hit rate on this day was very high, Somthing like 98%, Or at least 9 out of 10 frames bang on the money......
Had the continuos focussing on though, So that will have helped, Overall I was quite pleased to have at least matched the best the " Machine Gun " technique could offer, Without any wasted shots.....So there is still life in the old trigger finger .....LOL.....
You timed that wonderfully and i love the angle you have managed to take the photo at. Very well taken
great timing, think you can afford to crop alittle off the bottom.lesley
Terrific shot !.....but what an 'unconcerned' look on the dog's face ????.....amazing !!!
Love this shot. Carole
Cracking shot! Very well focused and what wonderful ear positions! Made me smile, very well captured indeed.
Wow!! Brillant action shot. Love it.

Thank you all again....
Reckon your right Lesley, Oddly enough I had considered taking the crop just above the dark ripple line.....
But then brain & eye decided against it...... For some unexplaned reason......
excellent shot, just love this image
Excellent timing and capture.
What an adorable picture
That's a super picture. Beautifully timed and framed.
