Hmm Contemplation, I guess this is open to interpretation as to what she is contemplating. The image is so peaceful and yet so powerful, it is always as is there is an unknown element to the image that we cannot see. That moment when you close your eyes and the world continues to spin around you, feeling warmth on your face and knowing that you are a very small moment in time.
This image is built from photos I took in Edinburgh. The background is part of the built up area near the castle. The lady was stood in the street at Edinburgh and she was being animated as normal. It was overcast and the clouds parted for just a brief moment. I watched her carefully from a distance and then she closed her eyes to greet the sun and that was my moment!

its very nice as an image and i expect, no im sure, it will do very well,
but the lighting seems a bit weird with the light halo behind the headland and then from a different direction on the face and i feel sure the same light would clip the headland
a minor carp though as im sure ill be seeing this one a few times in the salons ![]()

Excellent image all-round and I don't think that you could have chosen a better title. There is so much, as you say that one could read into this image. the subject looks so peaceful. Is she happy or is there an underlying reason for the look on her face. The water; has she made up her mind to end it all and in the thought of doing that given her her own peace. I guess we will never know but the one thing I know is that this is a first class image and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves.
David.
beautiful K-T... extremely romantic image.
