This is one of the first photos I took with my new Nikon D300 on Saturday. It is a little soft but I do like the pastel pinky colour. I have so much to learn with this camera - what a journey that's going to be. Hope you will help me on it.
The w/end was totally hectic, so I will catch up with your shots asap.
Thanks for all the CC's for the llama.
Jenny

[quote]Congratz on the new camera, I am sure you will have a lot of excellent images coming from it soon. Really like this one, may have cropped out the grasses at the foreground however...
I agree about the grasses, but I love the tones, subject and composition of this. Well done.
The light has brought out some great colours in the buildings
Nice start with one of the best ever cameras, well picked Jenny, join E2, so we can do mods from your new camera too, and thanks.

Johanna
A lovely start with the new camera Jenny, haven't been out with mine much (once). The Nikon manual for this is OK but there are some very useful tips on Ken Rockwells site. I don't alter everything he suggests but in general he explains what to turn on and why. Have a read and you can then make your own judgment from there
Here's the web address: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d300.htm.
Regards,
Geoff.
