The Oak leaves are starting to look a little tired, but they still make a good perch for the Common Darters. Here is a male.

(This was a nice surprise!!)
I've spent the day with two daughters and grandson. We walked from just outside Exeter down to Starcross and back. Right by the estuary and guess what........................I forgot to take my camera!!!! ![]()
There were Oyster Catchers, Ring Necked Plovers, Canadian Geese on one side, Fallow deer on the other!! *sigh* typical. Me, who always has a camera! Today, I had the backpack with lunch. Oh well - at least I still got to see them! ![]()
Awesome clarity and detail in this close up Karen. I can sympathise with you regarding having no camera. Last time I was in Cinderford in the Forest of Dean I bumped into a fallowbuck only a few yards from me on the edge of wasteland close to the Linear park.
A superb macro with excellent colour and detail.
