I know it's not very Christmassy, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and may you all have a happy and Healthy new year.
Here we have Taffy (ginger) and Paddy (tabby) relaxing!
Unfortunately Taffy is at the vets at the moment, he became unwell and this morning had a small exploritory operation to make sure he hadn't swallowed something he shouldn't. He's pulled through the op but is now in the vet's hooked up to fluids and drugs - we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can collect him tomorrow morning.
Here's a big thank you to all the vet's and 'carers', who still work over the Christmas period - what would be do without you all! ![]()
Warm wishes
Karen

An Update: I've just spoken to the vet and Taffy is feeling a lot better. He's taken a bit of food and although frightened, he did purr for her!
So hopefully we will be able to collect him in the morning!...................now, how do I tell Paddy to be gentle with him for a day or two!?
You have no chance of claiming that chair, so grab yourself a glass of wine and a mince pie while peace reigns. Happy Christmas! Sylvia
Hope he will be OK.............Paddy will know........instinct will tell him to be gentle..........after the left hook he delivers to Taffy when he gets home..........that's what happens with our 2....aren't all cats the same...........![]()

A lovely image of these contented cats stretched out on the comfortable arm chair, Merry Christmas to you and your family Karen and thanks for all your support in 2011, Ed
Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012, Karen. The epitome of 'laid-backness' in this image
Love it. I hope Taffy is better now.
Best to you and yours,
Dave.
Sorry about poor little Taffy, and pleased he will be home by now...happy and cuddled up
They look in complete abandonment in the photo Karen, so happy they chose you and Graham
for their cat parents..you know that you 'never' get to chose them..they capture your heart and chose you!!
(hope you have insurance for the vet!!)![]()

Thank you everyone! ![]()
Taffy is so much better - he's wolfing down his food and then racing over to check Paddy's!
We were given a month's free insurance from the Blue Cross (which ran out on 24th December) so hopefully most of the costs (which add up to £485 so far!) will be covered. I am seriously thinking of getting more insurance, just haven't had the time to phone around for quotes!
