On the way down to the pond I noticed there were a lot of spiders about - it would have been wrong not to capture one! Smile

I had a 'Wow!' moment whilst I was at the pond. I had just cleared up around the water fall at one end of the pond, when I stood up and glanced at the other end there was a Kingfisher!!! To say I was thrilled was an understatement - a shame there are no fish! (Though I did watch it diving several times and it came up with a bug of some kind each time!). Grin

A mighty fine macro shot Karen, you've caught this splendid specimen in some excellent light

Wow, lucky you, seeing such a wonderful bird in your garden. Now you just have to capture it on cam Smile. Love this arachnid, great back-lighting. Carol

I have, but the quality is so poor I really can't put any up on the gallery - if you are interested you can find a couple of shots in my EPZ blog area! Smile

That is a good macro of the spider Karen, I am not one for those creepy crawlies, but then
I was not too enthralled with frogs and harvest mice..going back for another session next week!!Grin
so one could say you could get used to them huh?

What a great shot! Smile

Oh, this is beautiful. I've got a strange penchant for arachnids - glad to know someone else understands [: I like the simplicity of this image, with the detail of the web and the perfect framing. Well done! Thanks for sharing.
