I managed to stalk him unawares! He'd crossed the path in front of me and then disappeared into the trees, so I crept around to the hedge in time to see him climb through the ditch. He was quite a way away, and I managed to focus through branches and leaves, so I'm quite pleased with this image..................as you can see he'd spotted me, so this was the one and only shot! Grin

Deer are such beautfiul animals, have something peaceful about them - can't believe people kill them. I love this photo, the fern behind him just sets off the right mood for the photo. I can see he feels timid - well, we all would when finding we are being stalked by someone with a camera LOL
