Yesterday I went to Taunton with my youngest daughter.

In the middle of Taunton is a large roundabout (with the road all about in cobbles!), one of the roads onto it is very long and straight with this church sat at the end of it. The tower is really tall, as you can see we can't see the church behind it!

There is a similar church on the other side of Taunton (I'll try and upload that one tomorrow). Why they chose to have such tall towers I don't know!
(A shame the roads in front of the churches weren't clearer, but I've cropped/cloned/healed as much clutter away as I can)

A very impressive tower, Karen, well captured and presented. Carol

Perhaps they wanted to be nearer to heaven, Karen.

In the day, the higher the Church the better as it was closer to God, who is supposed to be in the sky.

Oddly, they also built quite far down into the ground for foundations, and also for crypts, etc.

Needs a -2/3 against the sky, and that van to be parked someplace else, which is done in the mod.

Regards

Willie
