I think this is the Small Skipper (no scent scales on the wings and orange ends to the antennae) - I may be wrong and would be grateful for confirmation! 
It was tiny, just the one and fluttering around amongst the thistles.

A corker of a close up Karen, the detail and colouring are excellent. I find it very hard to tell these apart, the small skippers are usually a duller brown aren't they?
Excellent gallery, but I just had to comment on this one. Beautiful.
