I seem to have hit the apathy wall lately - it's a long time since I felt like going for a walk. Even today it was a case of 'For goodness sake Karen, get off your bum!' I think we all feel like that sometimes.

I was nearly home and walking past the 'dumping area' of the farm - concrete post and tyres in the background. This little Wall Brown decided to decorate it for me.

A fine shot of this wall brown on a wall, a fine looking specimen it is too and a male I think as it has those dark markings on its wings. I went looking for these on Crickley Hill last Thursday but did not see one, it is usually a good place to see them in good numbers, but unfortunately I think the cold, wet spring must have killed the first generation offSad

Thanks Ed.

We only ever seem to get one on the farm each year - though I'm sure there must be more! Wink

Lucky you! A butterfly I rarely see - and never in my garden.

Nice butterfly! I like how she sits on that bid stone (highlighting her wings design). Good image! IB
