I needed to get moving on Christmas cards and buying presents... still not got very far... so I raided my nephew's toy box and found my old lego trees. Added some christmas lights, a little flash and the widest aperture possible... et voila!
Ideally, the dof could have been a little greater as clearly the tree isn't all sharp, but this was the best arrangement to retain the circular bokeh of the lights.
