Another shot from last Saturday night, taken after sunset from Montmartre.
We had to peer through heavily leafed trees and railings and the light was fading quickly, but I managed to get a couple of snaps. It was hugely atmospheric... I almost started on "chim-chiminee"
That's the Montparnasse tower you can see in the distance.
Oh, and the "Red Sky at Night" adage came true!

There's just something about this shot that keeps drawing me back ?.....there's a lovely 'aura' about it, with a great sense of 'distance', & a nice bit of 'framing'
from the trees !
The only thing that niggles me, is those two cars....without those in the frame it would be exquisite !....if it were mine, I'd clone the darn things out !!!!!!
Still really like this though !!!
Hi Katie.....I wouldn't crop the bottom of the shot !, that dark roadway & footpath is needed to create the depth in the shot & provide a good 'base' .......it's just that I'm not
overkeen on cars in a beautiful landscape !, but that's just me !!!!!......that's why I suggested 'cloning' out the cars, to leave the road/path/wall intact, as a vital part of the
composition !......but as you're the author of the image, if you're happy with it then that's fine !!!!!!
Now if it had been a horse-drawn 'Hansom-Cab' rather than modern cars ??????????????.![]()
