Description

The Nuthatch ( sitta europaea )
Recent capture of a Nuthatch at the feed station. Ideally he is a bit too high in the frame but this was the best I can do with it. I have not cropped anything off the top. Hope it does not spoil your pleasure.
My sincere apologies to all those people kind enough to c/c on the previous Coal Tit. I had to remove it. Thanks to many kind and helpful remarks I quickly realised it simply was not good enough. I will rework it and try again later.
Grateful thanks however for the many kind c/c's on the Greenfinch.

Now this is more like it Ron.
Knowing how little time we have to get this dart at the feed station its superb showing fine plumage detail and a great catchlight. The tail is all in the shot so doesn't need space above in my opinion. Good space in front for it to look into in the classic pose and still with food a bonus.
Great capture, gets my award easily as I know the difficulty and frustration ( which was heard at times Wink ) in getting this shot.
