I need help to identify this bird please, though I have looked on the RSPB website, I cannot find it. This was actually taken in April '09 and I was looking through my stored bird pictures as the local nature reserve had asked for pictures for a display they were putting on, I did not realise this was in my collection, but thought it was worth putting it on here.

I'm pretty sure its a House Sparrow, we get them nesting in our garage roof every year, I can hear they chirping away right now, Spring is on the way. Nice shot of the little fellow anyway.

Great Shot, House Sparrows wear bibs, Tree Sparrows wear earphones,
not that that helps much.

Thanks all, I am rather pleased with it myself, I don't know how I came to pass it by when I took it really?? It's a shame I didn't renew my E2 this year, as when viewed large it is even better and you can see the bug in it' s beak!
