Deck chair anyone?

Very very good indeed

Hand That Rocked The Cradle

Hand That Rocked The Cradle by Nick_w

Not dark enough, Nick. I think if it's going to have an impact it has to actually shock. Nice enough but just a bit safe.

There is a very pronounced magenta colour cast in this.

Touch of blue highlight cast just spoils it a bit.

Maybe paste some birds into that space where the sky would be.

That reflection has to go. Just about gets away at this size but any larger and the faded lilies show through too clearly. I was going vote still but compared to the rest of the image it actually looks a bit naff.
Sorry

Body of Evidence

Body of Evidence by Nick_w

Great idea. Daves right about the knife. The only thing that bugs me because everything has to hang true for me, is that the case is shut but a hand is hanging out. Twenty years of being paid to spot what is 'off' makes me a bit pedantic.
Now if the case was half closed on this side with an arm poking through
Everything else is spot on. ....actually after reading the sign on the wall this could have been so much darker. Wink

I'm going to have to disagree. It's over-processed to the point that the shadows are now a mid grey and the tone mapping has caused a pixel shift that now renders much of the image with a slight blur.

You're missing any tonal quality because everything is trying to aim for a mid range.

Sand Castles

Sand Castles by JAParsonage

A simple S curve contrast layer would give this a lift - as it is the lack of any tonal contrast lets it down.
