Lighting via two 2700k LED bulbs and a 19thC oil lamp.
I like still life images to suggest a story to the viewer.
thanks for looking in.
excellent lighting fine still life
Superb still life
Great lighting and comp. I like that the pipe is still smoking too.
Great composition, really makes you think about possible scenarios ............. well thought out from the lit oil lamp and the three coins to the smoking pipe, superb still life!!!
Great composition and lighting makes this an excellent image !! Well done
Nice to some new names. Cheers.
Nicely done. I especially like the smoking pipe.
A well put together still life. Quite like this........Sandy
Don't mind it myself.
Go to like that smoking pipe Keith, well set up and lit too
Great mood created with the lighting technique Keith.
221B Baker Street comes to mind
Full of interest
Very nice! What's your view on the LED lights ? I'm in two minds about them
Cracking shot !!!....lovely set-up & lighting, with top notch quality !!
"penny a tune" ?????......that dates you a bit ????.
Ok so far Frank. I've been experimenting with cheap quick set ups and these are a tenner each. The 27k rating appears to be correct and so far i haven't had any problems.
Cheers you lot
Five pence a tune just doesn't sound right.
tenner each? wow - I may have to have a punt on a couple when I get paid.
You know how much I love these Keith, only real adverse comment, is the Music score looks like its straight off the printer and lightly screwed up. Been thinking on similar lines, and received some hand made cotton paper, can I get it through the printer tho!
The music is straight out of the folder of violin music that I bought at a boot sale.

Doesn't stop them using an Epson
That setting could almost be the Cleaners Store at Grosmont
The brickwork is similar, yeah. But the music isn't inkjet printed its published sheet music from a cotton bound book of dances and reels from the 30s. As the busker is being paid in 'old pennies' there is no reason why the pages should be aged or overly distressed.
It's the right hand sheet that doesn't quite look right, could it be the lighting is a little hard/ harsh, particularly set off against the diffused backdrop of the cloth liner, so it makes it "pop" just a bit too much?
Anyway still love the image, as the composition is so well thought through.
Did the moths fly out of the pocket when you dug deep for those coins? Love the touch of the flat cap, you can take the man out of Yorkshire.....
Lol. Those coins cost 10p each. yo'kshire price.
oh bugger, next time I should refrain from commenting from the version on an iPad screen ignore my comments re the paper (not that you did anyway ).
Me ignore somebody?
The very thought of it.
You been busking again Son ? I've told you about sitting on cold pavements !!
I wrap my arse in roof lagging these days. Been pile free for months.
PMSL....oh,now you are nicking stuff off the roof huh ?
I like how those picked blues link the line.
Nice work Keith. Good to see you still going strong
Trevor my man. How's it going?
Comp and lighting get a big tick from me
Is that Dot's suitcase and has she had to turn to a life on the streets?
